Book Description

Came-crude (a.k.a camba crusa, cama crusa, camo cruso, came cruse, etc.): A legendary chimeric creature from the Gascogne region and the surrounding areas close to the Pyrenees (south-west of France). It is some kind of bogeyman often described as a single leg, sometimes with an eye at the knee and a pair of wings. It comes out at night to take away and devour incautious people. The strangeness of this being and the lack of precision in its descriptions make it all the more worrying.
